News and Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you take my dental insurance?
A: We work with all PPO insurance policies. Once you have your insurance information, we can let you know an estimate of the coverage you insurance will provide once your treatment plan is determined. We are preferred providers for United Concordia, Liberty, Aetna, Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental, Guardian, Principal, United Healthcare, DHA, and others.
Q: What information do you need from me?
A: Please share with us all of your dental concerns and complaints. We want to work with you to address all of your dental goals. Additionally, we take particular care to consider your overall health when determining a personalized treatment plan. Your complete medical history and medication list are fundamental in tailoring your treatments to your specific needs.
Q: If I don’t have dental insurance or the treatments aren’t covered by my insurance, are payment plans available?
A: We work with CareCredit payment services to provide the flexibility you need to attain your dental goals. Please ask us about your financing options or visit www.carecredit.com to apply for health care financing.
Q: So many people are afraid to go to the dentist. How do you work with them?
A: It’s our job to create an environment in which our patients are at ease. We have invested in equipment and services to make your experience as comfortable as possible. Additionally, our doctors are commited to customizing your treatment to optimize your comfort, please take the time to bring up any concerns you have during you appointment.
Q: How often do I need to see the dentist?
A: The American Dental Association (ADA) suggests cleanings and exams twice a year at minimum, depending on your dental needs. You may be indicated to see your dentist more frequently if you have active dental concerns or problems.
Q: When does my child need to start going to the dentist?
A: Most children’s first teeth erupt into the mouth around six months of age. We suggest that parents bring in small children for a quick dental exam and cleaning by age 1 or within 6 months of the first tooth appearing.
